RISE
THE RISE OF AGENTIC SYSTEMS
A solo build. A real customer problem. A 5-minute demo. One month to ship.
02 — EVENT DETAILS
The challenge.
One month. One engineer. One agentic system that does real work for a real customer — shipped, demoed, judged.
THE RULES
- Build solo.
- Melbourne or Sydney.
- Solve a real customer problem.
- Show genuine autonomy. Not assisted prompting.
- Ship a 5–7 minute demo video.
KEY DATES
Judging window: 8–11 June 2026.
PRIZES
Paid out as tech of your choice — laptop, peripherals, dev hardware, you pick. Plus: featured at the next all-hands, written up internally, demo reused in client conversations where relevant.
JUDGING
Reviewed by DX1 practice leads across the four engineering practices, with one external judge from the agentic AI space.
Real problem.
A genuine customer-shaped problem, not a toy demo.
Genuine autonomy.
The agent decides and acts. It is not a prompt wrapper.
Technical depth.
Architecture, controls, evaluation, failure modes.
Demo quality.
A non-technical viewer can follow what happened.
Any LLM, any framework, any cloud is fair game. Bedrock work from the recent IP sprint is fine. Client IP is not. Demos can run on physical humanoid hardware, in a simulator, or as a rendered avatar — autonomy is what matters, not the chassis. Questions go to the #rise channel on Teams.
